We are currently on a road trip from the east to the west coast and then down to Miami and the Keys and back. Here are some pictures from the first day and a small story about a new exciting experience.

Attracted by this sign and my thirst we entered this bar to drink something. 30min later the owner started his karaoke machine and invited all his guests to sing a song.. Some old people and himself started and were pretty good as well, so Kim and myself wondered if we would find a song we could sing. Kim finally decided to seriously sing "bette davis eyes". She did good and I was proud, but now everybody expected me to sing too!
I decided that CCR's "Hey tonight" would fit me and the situation I was in.
And seriously I sucked! It was awful! I mean it's really not a hard song to sing but when the instrumental part is sort of a retarded cover which you hardly recognize as the song it's even harder to sing the text at the right time.
After the old people sang some more the "swiss couple" had an other go. We sang the song from grease "summer nights" in a duet. And now I did great too! I guess we set a new milestone in the history of tipsy karaoke singing!
